From A Distance

Testing Collage Sizes

Banner Header

I'm not exactly sure I know what I'm doing here, but I'm using some of my favorite pictures for my collage. Not exactly my best pictures just my favorite for one reason or another.

A Collage By Maharet, Ignore The Mucous

I just created a collage, I haven't been on vuvox in a long time. In fact I think the last time was the only time. Okay, so once or twice, but thing is that I simply don't have a computer fast enough to handle what that application can do online.

It really is very cool and I love it to death, but it's so much to think about and so much to do. I'm just not that good enough or that patient.

Right now I'm really sick as well and tha always makes it hard to concentrate.

My head is just swiming and I really am dying to go to bed, but last night I had such a hard time falling asleep and I was so uncomfortable that I'm just going to wait until I'm so sleepy my head falls onto this keyboard...Okay, not quite that sleepy. Oh god...everytime I sneeze my eyeballs twitch for 10 minutes, I spray spit all over the place, my tongue rattles so hard it hurts and my nose feels like it's going to inflate and burst.

To say this sucks isn't even close to the half of it. Everything fucking hurts.

Anyway, let's see if this collage thing works.

from a moving vehicle

checking out a slide. it's not a great way to deliver it, but it's pretty cool. i'd actually use a slide show like this IF i could actually embed it to my blog. i don't like clicking page after page after page to get what i want. it's a pain in the ass and i'm not as inclinded to use it.

too bad. i like the system. it's fun and easy to use.

click the title for the slide.

Grendel Can't Believe It

Grendel Can't Believe It

surrogate momma maharet has no idea how old he is....is he 3 weeks in this picture or two? this photo was taken on April 21, 2008 so that would make him....wait, when was he born? oh good lord.

look at him... he's so ashamed of me.

now i've just had a look at the calendar and i know he was born around 8-8:30 am tuesday, April 8th. that's right, grendel is an aries and i believe born two days before my father. very interesting.

aha! so, in this pic grendel is... exactly one day short of 2 weeks. DAMN... now i have to go back and change all my flickr pic titles for that day. DAMN MY FAULTY ADD BRAIN TO HELL.

Grendel at 3 Weeks...

Grendel was three weeks old in these pic's. I believe he's 4 weeks old today... I'm arguing with Rigid that he's actually 5 weeks old today... Now I'll have to check the calendar!

or was this two weeks???... rigid and i were having a debate yesterday. he thought Grendel was 4 weeks as of tuesday and i thought he was 5 and we argued a little.

yeah so, i lost the argument. i went back to the calendar this morning and noticed that the week i had been tracking was actually being tracked for something else. damn girl cycle crap. so he's definately 4 weeks old as of yesterday. WOW... we did it. he's 4 freakin weeks old. and he's so damn cute. i should have taken some pic's yesterday, but i didn't get the chance.

i may post a few pic's here and there to chronicle his stages so far, one of these days.

The Salem Frame

The Salem Frame, originally uploaded by Maharet Raider.
My little Salem Kittehmo. I don't want her to go, but I can't keep her and my heart is breaking because she's such a good girl. She's quite, reserved, a little nervous, but so very special.

She takes her time, but when she's ready she's more than willing to rub some love. I don't think she'll ever be the kind of cat that will sit in your lap for hours, but if she let's you touch her you should consider yourself more than fortunate. It means she loves you...in her way.

arty was a lot smaller when we brought her home, but she's got to be the cuttest kitty. her fur was glossy and smooth when we got her and she took to morrigan quickly. morrigan didn't, but it wasn't long before artemis' shining personality won her over. she was suckling on morrigan before you knew it.

we initially brought her home because morrigan had just lost her litter and was depressed. she literally looked and looked for her kittens for days. she started to lose a lot of weight and we got really worried so when we came across artemis it seemed perfect. she needed a home or she'd end up on the streets or in a shelter and morg needed a baby....it was perfect.

this was a ginger kitty from her first litter. poor little buggers.

The Zeus Kitteh

we only had him for a few days. we thought we were doing him a favor taking him off the street and getting him all cleaned up, but we were wrong. apparently he belonged to a neighbor who didn't even know he was missing.

he was such great cat, but a little off...and by off i mean bat-shit crazy. scary ass cat with ginormous bollocks.

The Peacock Dance

DSC01927
Originally uploaded by Maharets Brood.
I cried during this performance. It was one of the most beautiful things I had ever seen in my life. I could almost feel her imagining herself to be a peacock in order to pull of her performance. It was truly remarkable and I captured a few gorgeous shots here.

Japanese Dance

A coworker invited me to a cultural dance festival that she was in. It was so beautiful and my camera really captured the moment well. Too bad I took all the pictures on VGA because they're all unprintable. Rigid and I had a really nice time. He always surprises me when he does things like this with me. He's such a brute sometimes that it's hard to believe that he actually enjoyes doing cultural things. Next thing you know he'll be taking me to the Opera. HAH!!! That is to laugh.

I had never been to a Pride Festival. I heard they were a lot of fun... This one wasn't so much. In fact the food and drinks made me sick. So sick in fact that I had to rush to a shit box to poo... Too bad I forgot to lock the door. Good lord that was like a nightmare.

I snapped this picture of my niece and nephews little Easter duckies. They met an untimley death, but they made us happy for a while. It was really nice watching the kids run around chasing after them... Even if for only a day or so. Poor duckies. RIP.

Colored Boxes in Long Beach

Colored Boxes at Long Beach. I was taking a walk with some friends and found these boxes lined up by the marina in Long Beach. I thought they made an interesting subject and took several pictures. If I was a real artist they would have come out much better and I would probably have something much more intersting to say than, h'urururuhururhuhrurur purdy boxes'.
